		<description>Performance appraisals are one trait of bad management.  You find them stressful etc. for good reason - so do many people.  And very few people actually think they are useful.  When you have to go through them then doing your best to limit their harm is good.  But those in the position should go for &lt;a href="http://curiouscat.com/deming/performanceappraisal.cfm" rel="nofollow"&gt;performance without evaluation&lt;/a&gt;.
