Goin’ to the Beach to find my Center
Heading down South today with all the kids in tow. Tonight is my brother’s birthday and he lives in Dana Point by the beach. My wife, AKA [Party of Five], suggested we go to the beach in the day before the party and I’m never one to turn down the beach.
Since lately I’ve been diagnosed with the high blood pressure and started taking medication (and now it appears I have high glucose as well, stay tuned for exciting details on that!!), I think I need to get back to the ocean, do a few somersaults in the waves and find my center again. Plus, my kids love it a lot and watching them play in bliss gives health to my bones!!! The beach down here in Southern California is breathtaking. I’ll bring my digital camera and take some photos to share in a later photoblog post. Since I was a young kid, the beach has always brought me tranquility. Where do you go to find your center? Seriously, I am curious!

My peace comes from anything having to do with my faith whether in study, at service, writing, reading, praying or singing.
Jealous! However, we are going to Mission Bay the end of Aug to celebrate my daughter’s third birthday and can’t wait.
Enjoy!
I love beaches and the one you have there is spectacular looking–love palm trees!!!
Hard to say where I find my “center”…I don’t think it’s a place, I think it’s in me, but if I had to pick a place, I’d have to say the pool….there’s just something about water!!!

@Jessica and Rosemarie: Thank you for those amazing insights about finding ones center. I’d have to say I agree on all counts!
