Riley Central Announcement: A Niche Direction

Thanks to the Riley Central readers. I appreciate you reading my posts. I’ve thought about making this a niche blog for several months now, and it has just been a matter of finding one that a) I was interested in maintaining and b) that I was an expert in. It has become increasingly clear to me that the area of language is one that I have special insight to. My MA in the field and my career of daily teaching provides me with special insights (at least, I’d like to hope so) into cultural language and rhetoric. After coming to see this and dispatching many trips to and from the drawing board, I now am ready to try my first niche direction:

Riley Central: A blog about pop-culture rhetoric and language

It should take me a few days to update my Technorati, Delicious tags, and the like but I have ideas I keep writing down for future posts and I think the blog will become a lot more focused and useful to the blogosphere in a short time. Your questions, advice, and comments are all very welcome as I make this transition. Thanks for being there. It’d be great to see you subscribe and enjoy this exciting pilgrimage through language and the world we live in. I’ll have more to say on that later. Talk to you soon.
