Son Goes to Work with Me and: INFP
Today should be fun. I’m interrupting my son’s Summer break to bring him to class with me. the kids are all his grade level and he knows many of them since he used to attend the school I work at. When I asked him if he wanted to come to work with me, he lit up and got all excited) mostly for the friends part I am sure). But he’s a little bored. Kids do get bored over the summer . . . they never think they will, but eventually most end up expressing a desire to go back to school. I wonder what his Meyers Briggs would be? Mine is INFP, of at least WAS . . . I’ll get into that in a second. We have only 2 days more of summer school and then I have three weeks off before I go back to the new school year.
I imagine with trips down the hill, photo excursions, and chances to research away from work, you’ll be seeing a lot more blog posts in the rest of July and early August. After that it will likely fall back to once a day again. I think I like blogging because I feel I am connecting for a purpose. Even my diary entries always have some idea, some benefit I see for the reader. If you ever don’t see it, email me and I will try and explain. because of who I am and my INFP personality, trust me . . . it’s gotta be there.
The Meyers Briggs Personality Test labeled me as an INFP when I was 21 (1991). This stands for:
Introverted (only slightly to this side . . .)
N (I can’t recall . . .)
Feelngs based with regards to decision making (Pretty polarized to this side)
Perception based
It went on to tell me that my personality is found in only 8% of the population. The careers it recommended were: the clergy, teaching, musician, social work, psychology . . . to name a few idealistic jobs. It said that it was important for me to find happiness in life to do things that I saw had a greater good. It also said that I would tend to be harder on myself than I should be when I was doing just as good a job as many non-INFP’s.
I think it was fairly accurate. It would be interesting to take it again to see where I stand. there is a questionnaire over at This Eclectic Life, so I’ll hopefully have time to go take the test sometime today. What’s your Meyers Briggs Label?

LOL. Last year I took the long version of this and was an INFJ, later that year I became an INFP - and that is what the short version said. Did you do your Aura? I was violet.
Ah! A fellow INFP! I didn’t do the aura, I was running out the door as I recall.
