Strip it Down

Notice my titles lately are search engine neutral? I don’t care if some girl or guy looking for black ties stumbles across this article because I put marketing tags on it . . . so I don’t do that unless I really believe the article can offer something to the web. This is just me talkin’.

Let’s strip down the internet so it’s actually useful, a few ideas of mine:

  1. Three domain suffixes: .com (business/trade), .net (personal/networking), and .edu
  2. Four internets: one for each suffix and one for a combo (like we have now)
  3. All monetization, social sites, banners and chickletizing will be confined to the .com
  4. Google can make a search engine with checkboxes on which suffix(es) to search.
  5. The .net suffix will be dedicated solely to individuals seeking traffic for their words.

I think these changes would be much preferable to what we have now. I get chicklet nauseated when I surf the net these days.  It’d be nice to have a place to come home to.
