Now, it's as I've got something to say, which can be anywhere from several times a day to once a month or so, depending on which of my blogs I'm talking about - and what has happened recently. But honestly, I rarely look at the blogrolls. You get a better idea of who is current by clicking on comments links in someone's blog you read.
