The New Starlets of Country
Young hot girl singers were one after the other yesterday on GAC and Country Countdown. We usually plunk around on our computers with the videos playing in the background on Sundays. There’s one who sings a song about Tim McGraw and Tears on my Guitar, there’s that one from America Idol . . . Carrie Underwood, singin’ about diggin’ a key into a 4WD of a cheatin’ boyfriend, and a lot of others I couldn’t HELP but notice were attractive YOUNG women (they look 20 or under). Oh yeah, I wanted to mention especially the one who sings “Everybody Dies Famous in a Small Town.” She looks exactly like the girl who can’t die on the show “Heroes.” That same look. She’s also got herself a damn good song there. Sorry I don’t have her name off hand. But hey, if interested, you’re reading this on the internet: search for the song! Anyway, being a musician/songwriter, I’m always judging the music and not the look . . . the thing is, this new round of young-ens has the whole package! maybe they are all prodigies or maybe they have good writers. Whatever the case . . . country that was in the backyard for a while has made it to the front porch again . . . and it has my attention :) Time to go add a few presets to the Jeep as I drive to work.
