Work Email Tip

I wrote a short blurb at Dynamite Lesson Plan this morning about email at work and something I am doing now.

What do you think about “request read receipts?”

Hey Damien, I am not sure what to think of that, I was hoping to read more on it, from you on this.

Hi Jean. I just wanted to link to my other site where I am starting to post more. I didn’t want to double post. If you want to read what I have written over there and post there or here that would be cool, but not expected. You will find some small snippet asides or link posts here. It’s part tumblelog I suppose. Have a great day.

I think we rely on email too much in the sense that we assume that if we send something that the other person gets it and reads it.  If it is something that I want to ensure they see, I will usually just ask them to send back a quick response, just to let me know they got it.  And I do the same when I get something and want to let the sender know I got it.
